2021 Year in Review
2021 brought new implementation and improvements to all Texas Tech Health Sciences Center at El Paso clinics. Here is a look back at the projects completed by the Information Management Systems Section of Information Technology in 2021.
- Doxy.Me Implementation:Doxy.Me was implemented in all clinics as the main telemedicine platform. Integration with Phreesia was included for an enhanced patient experience.
- EPCS Implementation: Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances was introduced to 100 providers.
- DocuSign at Transmountain:Consents used at Main Campus were made available at Transmountain via DocuSign creating a standard at both locations.
- Fee Schedule Updates: IMS worked with MPIP to update the Fee Schedule used to bill for services rendered at Texas Tech
- ImmTrac2 Bidirectional Interface IM & OBGYN: Bidirectional interface of ImmTrac2 in Internal Medicine and OBGYN was introduced for up to date immunization data
- AthenaFlow v20: Centricity EMR was upgraded and rebranded to AthenaFlow v20
- Medication Management: Medication Management brought a standard for prescribing medications
- Dragon Medical One: Upgrade of application was completed in order to enhance use with AthenaFlow
- Optos VM Setup: Retinal Camera at Transmountain updated with the capability of virtual storage

2022 Things to Come
In the year ahead IMS plans to continue evolving the tech. Take a look at what we’re preparing for 2022.
- CBIZ Upgrade: CBIZ will be upgraded and rebranded to AthenaIDX 7.3
- Informatics Upgrade: Informatics will be upgraded bringing a new user experience
- AthenaFlow v20.2: Athena continues update the new Medication Management. Enhancements will become available with version 20.2
- Phreesia HCO Project: Bidirectional interface between CBIZ and Phreesia bringing enhanced scheduling and registration data transfer.
- Tenet Interface: Bidirectional interface between Tenet and TTUHSC Cerner for Laboratory and Radiology Results
- Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC): AUC will be implemented in AthenaFlow and CBIZ allowing the ordering and reimbursement of advanced diagnostic imaging services
- Transmountain Consents in Phreesia: Consents used at Transmountain will be added to Phreesia
- Transmountain Relocation/Expansion: IMS will be assisting with the expansion and relocation of the second floor at Transmountain
- IMS Training Material: IMS is working to transition all training content from the EMR Learning Channel to Canvas

- The Clinical Application Support Team has relocated to Room B08 in the Basement of the Clinical Sciences Building.
- Please dial 215-4111 Option 3 for support.
- To request to file an EMR document in error please send an e-mail to elpasoemr@ttuhsc.edu.
Please remember the document must be signed and appended with the Request for Removal encounter type in order to be removed.

EMR Known Issues

EMR Known Issues:
- Medication Management may not allow users to sign a note due to a synchronization error such as the one below. Contact the IMS office if you encounter this message for assistance. A permanent fix will be implemented in January 2022.
