Quick texts Tips
Some quick texts contain clinical functions that allow you to pull patient and user account(your EMR account) information into the chart.
The following quick texts contain a clinical function :
.date | Inserts Today’s date |
.fc | Opens the insert form component window |
.gr | Insert first name of patient |
.hpio | Inserts beginning of HPI sentence – “This is a __ years old Male/Female” |
.med | Inserts current list of medications into note |
.pharm | Inserts current pharmacy |
.prob | Inserts problems added during this visit |
.pt | Inserts patient’s first and last name |
.sign | Inserts your name and today’s date |
.tc | Opens the insert text component window |
.time | Inserts current time |
.wcc | Inserts well child check no complain HPI sentence |

Quick Texts inside Append to Document Window

Please note that these type of quick texts do not work inside the Append to Document windows shown below.
For example .sign will display {USER.REALNAME} {DATETIMESTAMP()} instead of your name and the date.
You can only use quick texts that contain clinical functions inside a full update.
To add to an append you will need use the Click here to do a Full Update button and select an update such as Orders Only or Note.

- Ophthalmology is now live with EMR on 04/02/13.
- The EMR department has a new number. Please dial 215-4020 to reach us.
- To request to file an EMR document in error please send an e-mail to elpasoemr@ttuhsc.edu. Please do not
send alerts or flags for this type of request.

EMR Known Issues

EMR Known Issues:
- We are working with UMC and ECH to stop getting lab results and imaging results for inpatients.
- We are working on mapping of labs in Flowsheets.
- We are working on Faculty not getting Resident Labs. – Fixed 03/27/13
