Imprivata Patient Secure
The CIS Department has successfully completed the implementation of Imprivata Patient Secure at all
TTUHSC campuses throughout the clinical front desks and Central Registration. Imprivata Patient Secure
will improve patient safety and satisfaction by reducing duplicate accounts and identification errors.
Imprivata Patient Secure uses palm vein recognition biometrics to assist the front desk staff in identifying
the patient’s CBiz and EMR record accurately and efficiently. A total of 1688 patient were enrolled into
Imprivata Patient Secure during the first two weeks.

Immunization Management Orders
The Immunization Management form allows Providers to create orders automatically when entering administered
immunizations. When the immunization is completed on the Immunization Management form, the order will
auto-generate on the Orders form. Providers will need to have the Auto-generate orders check box selected at
the time of entering the administered immunization for functionality to work. Clinic staff should not have the
Auto-generate orders check box selected if they enter the administered immunization as the order will be generated
with the clinic staff named as the authorizing provider. Should you have any other questions about this workflow,
please contact our office.
