EMRSSO-Imprivata Cortex
Please be aware that all clinic users have been successfully migrated to EMRSSO Profiles. EMRSSO performs the same
functionality as EMR, the only feature that has changed is the way in which the password is stored. Users will
no longer be required to update their EMR password in Password Manager, but rather enter their credentials in the
Imprivata pop-up window where they will be stored automatically. Please continue to use the EMRSSO icon on your
Citrix icon page.
- Log into Citrix with assigned credentials.
- Launch the EMRSSO icon. (do not use EMR or EMRZero icons).
- When launching EMRSSO for the first time or after an EMR password change, an Imprivata pop-up window will appear asking the user
to enter their EMR credentials.
- User will enter EMR username/password. Click OK.
- EMR will open successfully.
IMPRIVATA CORTEX- LATEST TECHNOLOGY
As part of providing with the latest technology to improve the processes we currently have in place in the clinic, we are currently in
the process of rolling out to all of our providers (Faculty, Resident and coordinators) a new tool to improve how we can communicate
thru a single communication channel: Imprivata Cortext is a solution that will enable secure mobile and desktop messaging inside and
outside of the clinical workplace. Cortext is supported across many communication platforms including Apple and Android-based devices,
desktops and browsers, including PC and Mac.
Cortext works similar to any messaging application (e.g. SMS, WhatsApp), but offers HIPAA compliant, secure and confidential means of
communicating patient information and care coordination instructions between healthcare providers. The system is fully HIPAA compliant
and completely cloud based. Messages and pictures taken within the application will never be stored locally on the device. This will
help prevent loss of patient information on faculty or resident phones, which has been of concern in the past.
Registration is very simple and completely user friendly. Users will receive an invitation from the Texas Tech Cortext administrator
via email inviting them to create a Cortext account. The user will follow the registration steps to create their username (eRaider)
and password. Using personal mobile devices, users will be able to download the Cortext application from their mobile application store
and login with their created username and password. Cortext has recently been implemented in Family Medicine, Neurology, Surgery and the
Psychiatry clinics, looking to incorporate the rest of the clinics soon.
For more information about this new solution you may contact: Vidal Rodriguez (v.rodriguez@ttuhsc.edu)
or Elisa Morales (elisa.c.morales@ttuhsc.edu) for more information on the product.
