Blood Pressure Parameters and Pop-up!
To assist in blood pressure monitoring, clinical documentation and improve patient care,
a Clinical Decision Support alert has been added to the Vital Signs Forms.
If clinical staff enters a blood pressure that is out of clinical range, the staff will
receive a pop-up notification to confirm the blood pressure reading, and if it is still
out of range, to notify the provider. A check box will appear next to the blood pressure
field for the staff to indicate they have notified the provider. Please see screenshot
examples below for the various notifications.
If the BP Systolic is outside of the 80-180 range, or the BP Diastolic is outside of the
60-110 range:
The check box to indicate the staff notified the provider:
Users Impacted: - Providers & Clinic Staff
Level of Impact: – Moderate – New Process
In case you missed it – Medication Search is Back!
