Brand Medically Necessary UMC � Tip of the Week

There was an issue last week where UMC was not dispensing Brand Medically Necessary when prescription was sent electronically. This has been corrected.

UMC pharmacy does have the capability to receive brand medically necessary information from EMR. UMC staff has been training by the appropriate group to ensure they know where to find this information.

EMR Announcements

    • Ophthalmology will be going live with EMR on 04/02/13.

    • The EMR department has a new number. Please dial 215-4020 to reach us.

    • To request to file an EMR document in error please send an e-mail to elpasoemr@ttuhsc.edu. Please do not send alerts or flags for this type of request.

EMR Known Issues

There are currently 3 EMR Known Issues:
    • We are working with UMC and ECH to stop getting lab results and imaging results for inpatients.
    • We are working on mapping of labs in Flowsheets.
    • We are working on Faculty not getting Resident Labs.
