There are unique opportunities and challenges in an area that is a large metroplex. Over 2 million people live within the El Paso-Juárez area, and many are medically underserved. Access to health care can be difficult to obtain here for a variety of reasons, such as language barriers and geographical location.
Residents at TTUHSC El Paso are dedicated to serving and learning about a population that is historically under-researched and underserved.
