Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.)
Program Description
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (TTUHSC El Paso) Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing (GGHSON) Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) prepares the professional nurse with leadership and business concepts necessary for administrative roles within dynamic healthcare environments. The program prepares nurses at a master’s level of education with concepts aligned with the core competencies outlined by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and American Organization for Nursing Leadership.
The MSN degree meets the education eligibility requirement for the American Organization for Nursing Leadership certification program exams in either the Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) or Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML).
Program Length
The M.S.N. program is designed as a part-time, 33 academic-credit-hour program to be completed in six consecutive semesters. Students enroll in six credit hours each semester. Program delivery is online with no requirements to attend class on campus. Classes are highly personalized with multidisciplinary, industry experienced faculty.
