R.N. to B.S.N. Program
Program Description
The Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing (GGHSON) R.N. to B.S.N. program is designed to accommodate the working R.N.’s schedule. The convenient, 30-hour program is conducted entirely through web-based instruction and is constructed to make you more marketable in the health care arena — whether in your current position, or in future employment endeavors. Nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) are in high demand because of their broader education. A B.S.N. education expands your ability to access and use evidence in clinical decision-making; to understand informatics and their impact on practice; to have an expanded view of the impact of families and communities on health outcomes; and to serve in a leadership role on any health care team. The B.S.N. education is also a natural progression to graduate school and expanded roles in education, advanced practice, and administration.
Program Length
The GGHSON R.N. to B.S.N. program curriculum is designed to give you flexibility. Students can complete the program in as little as three terms, if attending on a full-time basis, or four terms, if part-time. Coursework is divided into seven-week mini-mesters to accommodate students' work schedules.
