Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso has provided anatomic and clinical pathology services to west Texas since 1975.

Our experienced staff consists of faculty members from the department of pathology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, all of whom are board-certified experts in their fields. In addition to providing consultation and pathology services, pathologists are actively involved in research and professional organizations, which keep them abreast of the latest advancements within their areas of expertise.

Most of the pathologists work within University Medical Center of El Paso's regional laboratory and El Paso Children's Hospital. These facilities are state-of-the-art clinical and anatomical laboratories specializing in providing diagnostic testing, performing over 1.3 million tests per year. They interpret and evaluate diagnostic biopsies, as well as gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology preparations. Clinical testing is offered 24-7 with most in-house tests resulting within hours. They are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).
