About Us
Welcome to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at TTUHSC El Paso.
Mission
The mission of the Paul L. Foster school medicine department of obstetrics and gynecology is multi-faceted, focusing on education, patient care, and research. The primary goal is to educate medical students and residents to become the next generation of top-quality providers in women’s health care. The department aims to distinguish itself by delivering the highest quality and safest patient care, utilizing a compassionate, patient-centered, and culturally sensitive model.
In addition to education and patient care, research is highlighted as an essential component. The department emphasizes contributing to the expansion of knowledge about women’s health, particularly in the unique context of the U.S.-Mexico border region. The commitment to cutting-edge educational activities encompasses these three critical components: education, patient care, and research. Together, they form the foundation of the department’s overarching mission.
