- Refund Policy
- The refund policy stipulates the amount of tuition and fees that are refunded to students who drop a class or withdraw from the university.
- Requirements for Withdrawal
- Students who are withdrawing from the university after completing registration for the semester must first secure the dean’s approval.
- Repayment Policy (Return of Federal Financial Aid)
- This link provides information on financial aid repayment when a student withdraws from all coursework. Student financial aid is awarded to students under the assumption that they will complete the entire period for which the assistance is awarded. When a student withdraws, the student may no longer be eligible for the full amount of financial aid that the student was originally scheduled to receive.

- Entrance Counseling for Student Loan Borrowers and Master Promissory
- Note: All first-time financial aid loan borrowers must complete a Direct Loan Stafford/Unsubsidized loan entrance counseling and Master Promissory Note before a loan may be disbursed.
- Exit Counseling for Student Loan Borrowers
- Student financial aid recipients are required to complete a Direct Loan Exit Counseling for any of the following reasons: dismissal, leave of absence, failure to re-enroll, less than half-time status, withdrawal or graduation.

Voter Registration
The University encourages all students to participate in local, state, and national elections. In order to vote in the State of Texas (http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/reqvr.shtml), students must register at least 30 days prior to an election.
