EMR Announcements
There
are
currently

EMR Announcements:
- We are now live with UMC Labs. Please start using UMC Lab instead
of Other Labs on EMR-Link when printing UMC Order Requisitions.
- Printer names have been shortened and Task based printing is now saving printers
properly when using Thin Clients.
- The Disconnect and Reconnect commands from Citrix are no longer available.

When giving immunizations use the quicktext .consultvac to be able to charge
for a higher level of service when giving a vaccine.

Counseling provided to parent/guardian regarding the risks and benefits of vaccines
administered to the patient at the time of the visit.

A speculum was inserted in the vagina and the cervix was visualized. The cervix
was cleaned with iodine swabs x 3. A single tooth tenaculum was placed on the anterior
portion of the cervix. The uterus was sounded to 8cm. IUD was placed easily. Good
hemostasis achieved at the tenaculum site using silver nitrate. All instruments
were then removed from the cervix and vagina. Pt tolerated the procedure well.

Anticipatory guidance was given to the patient's parent.

EMR Known Issues
There
are
currently
3
EMR Known Issues:
- Some e-prescribed medications are not going through when sending to the UMC pharmacy.
If this happens please e-mail elpasoemr@ttuhsc.edu
with the subject “Prescription Error” and please include the
MRN, Provider Name, and the medication code in the body of the e-mail.
- E-prescribed sends duplicate responses to prescriptions that did not go through.
If this happens to you please send us a screenshot to
elpasoemr@ttuhsc.edu .
- The computer in the conference room in UMC has no access to CEMR. We are working
with UMC to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
As always we are working to resolve these issues in a timely fashion and will keep
you updated on their status.
