Welcome to the Transitional Year Residency Program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso/Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus.  As the program director, I am pleased to share with you the unique opportunities and experiences that our program offers to aspiring physicians like yourself.

Our program, accredited by the ACGME, offers 10 PGY-1 positions each year. We accept applications exclusively through the ERAS system and participate in the NRMP match. Designed with your success in mind, our program provides a well-rounded clinical education that serves as a strong foundation for your advanced training in various medical specialties.

We have carefully crafted a curriculum that not only builds your clinical knowledge and reasoning skills but also emphasizes the importance of professionalism in your development as a physician. Whether you are pursuing a specialty program that requires a prerequisite year or seeking to establish a solid base for your medical career, our Transitional Year Residency Program is committed to offering a personalized and enriching learning experience tailored to your individual needs. We conduct all of our interviews virtually via Webex to reduce the time commitment, travel chaos, and financial burden for the applicant.

We are committed to excellence in clinical medicine and the education of our residents, and we take pride in the quality of training we provide. I look forward to discussing your interest in our Transitional Year Residency Program and how we can support your journey toward becoming a successful and skilled physician.

Thank you for considering our program. I encourage you to contact us if you have any questions or would like to learn more.
