Greetings from The Sun City!

Thank you for your interest in the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Transitional Year Residency Program, in collaboration with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine.

The TTUHSC El Paso Transitional Year Residency Program received approval from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) in 2023, and we were honored to welcome our inaugural class in July 2025.

Our current and future interns will train primarily at The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus, working alongside Texas Tech Health El Paso Internal Medicine Transmountain residents and faculty. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to rotate with dedicated community faculty members across the vibrant city of El Paso. Together, we are committed to serving the inpatient and outpatient needs of the diverse communities of West Texas and Southern New Mexico.

Our goal is to train exceptional interns in a supportive learning environment, offering comprehensive, evidence-based rotational experiences in several primary specialties. We strive to prepare our residents for success in any categorical residency they choose to pursue.
