Favorite thing about your job: There are many aspects of the job I enjoy. First is the patients. I find our population to be kind and appreciative of the care provided. I enjoy working with and teaching the residents, who are intelligent and motivated learners. TTUHSC El Paso also allows for a wide variety of medical and trauma cases, which helps to keep me sharp and to grow as a physician.
Academic/educational/research interests: Teaching residents in both the emergency department and hospitalist setting. Simulation development. International medical missions. Tactical medicine and fellowship program development.
