Curriculum

The Family Medicine Residency program is designed to develop and prepare residents to deliver of comprehensive evidence-based medical care to patients in a variety of settings. Our residency program has a strong base in medicine and pediatrics but also provides excellent training in behavioral health, sports medicine and geriatric health. Our residents learn the dermatologic, musculoskeletal and women’s health procedures essential to the practice of Family Medicine.

Diverse elective opportunities are available and each resident is encouraged to develop areas of special interest. Electives are offered in all of the major subspecialties in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Residents may take electives in either 2- or 4-week blocks. The underlying goal of the curriculum is to ensure that the graduate will be an outstanding family physician.
