The Department of Neurology became independent from the Department of Psychiatry in May 2013.
Dr. Cruz-Flores is the first and founding chairman
Dr. Piriyawat arrived in February 2014
Residency application submitted fall 2014
ACGME approved as an advanced program March 2015
Approved to accept three residents per year for a total of nine
First two residents began September 2015
