Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care

Welcome to the Pulmonary and Critical Care (PCCM) fellowship at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso. We offer a three-year ACGME accredited fellowship designed to provide outstanding clinical training in a diverse and supportive learning environment. Fellows in our program gain comprehensive exposure to a diverse range of disease states and pathologies. Through our subspecialty clinics and advanced bronchoscopy procedures, they have the chance for in-depth study in their areas of interest. As a new program, we offer all fellows meaningful opportunities to contribute to shaping and developing the program.

The Pulmonary and Critical Care (PCCM) fellowship at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso aims to prepare IM board-eligible M.D.s or D.O.s to practice the subspecialties of pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine competently, independently, and with the highest ethical standards. It is expected that the fellows become ABIM adult pulmonary and critical care board certified. PCCM fellows will contribute to fulfilling Texas Tech's mission of providing excellent care for the El Paso community, participating in the education of other trainees, clinical research, and in improving the delivery of health care in El Paso, with a particular emphasis on respect for minorities and the underserved. Upon completing our program, fellows are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in both academic medicine and private practice.
