Grand Rounds Series
The Psychiatry Department at Texas Tech University Health Science Center offer monthly Psychiatry Grand Rounds typically on Friday or Wednesday at noon. The Grand Rounds are open to faculty, nurses and all level of trainees. The global learning objectives are to educate the next generation of physicians as well as keep faculty abreast about current practice, update from recent research and evidence-based practice guidelines in the mental health treatment. Develop collaborative partnership with experts from other institutions help to improve the mental health awareness and clinical care of our population.
A Grand Round Committee represented by psychiatric faculty, child psychiatric fellows, psychiatric residents, educator nurse, medical student, and researchers address the professional practice gaps in the mental health field and assure the compliance of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) accreditation requirements.
The Texas Tech University Health Science Center El Paso Paul L. Foster School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Psychiatry Grand Round are live activities with a 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit TM and regularly ethics credits are also offer.
