Community Faculty Development Program
- Preparation of a 6 module faculty development program that is loaded on a flash drive and given to community based faculty members.
- Community faculty are also encouraged to participate free of charge in the full FDC program. Furthermore, the curriculum of this program is available online.
- The Office of Faculty Development has purchased subscriptions to an innovative website known as Teaching Physician for our community faculty. Teaching Physician is a just-in-time tool for our valued community preceptors. Access is available at TeachingPhysician.org.
Teaching Physician offers videos and tips on a variety of medical education topics including orienting a learner and the principles of precepting. Up to 40 CME credits can be earned by reviewing the information on the Teaching Physician website.
