Data Considerations

As a web-based application, LabArchives requires internet connection to edit or access your notebooks.  For this reason, it is recommended to routinely back-up your notebooks, which can be done by exporting the notebook(s) in PDF or HTML format.
  • Uploaded file/attachment: 4GB limit per file
  • Individual users are allowed unlimited storage and unlimited notebooks
  • Individual notebooks have a 1TB limit. LabArchives recommends that users avoid allowing a notebook to get that large because it may slow down the accessing of data and navigation of the notebooks. It’s best to create new notebooks as needed since the number of notebooks is unlimited.
