Exempt Study Self-Monitoring Form
As part of our ongoing mission to promote compliance with TTUHSC El Paso IRB policies and procedures, federal regulations, and related guidance governing research, studies deemed Exempt by the Institutional Review Board per 45 CFR 46.104 are required to undergo an annual self-monitoring process as of September 1st, 2024.
The self-monitoring form must be submitted within 30 days of the anniversary of initial approval for each study. For Exempt studies active prior to September 1st, 2024, this requirement will begin on the next anniversary or as directed by Research Compliance personnel.

Submitted monitoring forms will be reviewed by Research Compliance personnel to identify studies which may require additional assistance or support. This self-monitoring process is not intended to replace standard audit procedures
