Research interests

My research focuses on novel applications and validation of statistical methods for designing and analyzing biomedical and translational research studies. We have been interested in testing robustness, feasibility, application, and advancement in bootstrap tests, predictive risk models, relative risk regressions, count data models especially zero inflated/hurdle models, multilevel modeling, longitudinal data modeling, survival modeling, quantile regression, structural equation modeling, cluster and latent profile analysis, meta-analysis, and classification and regression trees. Our research also focuses on designing optimal experimental and epidemiological studies in adaptive clinical trial settings. Our research relates broadly to developing and updating evidence-based guidelines for statistical methods. In addition, our collaborative studies identify appropriate interventions, risk factors, decision aids, and diagnostic and screening tools for various diseases and problems especially in neurological disorders and cancer.
