Global Health Distinction Track

The Global Health Distinction Track offers motivated PLFSOM medical students an opportunity to explore the social, cultural, and systemic factors that influence health around the world. Through focused learning experiences, mentorship, and engagement in global or border-health initiatives, students gain a deeper understanding of health disparities and the skills needed to serve diverse populations both locally and globally.

Designed for students with a clear interest in global and community health, the track supports the development of competencies in culturally responsive care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and health equity leadership. Eligible students may pursue specialized coursework and experiential opportunities that enrich their medical education and broaden their perspective on global health challenges.

This distinction track is available to enrolled PLFSOM medical students.
