Funding for Global Health Programs for Students

International Education Fee Award

The International Education Fee (IEF) is collected each semester from students of all three schools.

Monies in the fund are used to assist TTUHSC El Paso students who participate in global health programs that are part of their degree program.

Students applying for an award must submit an application with supporting documentation to the Office of Global Health and Societies (OGHS). The application is due by November 15 for a Spring Global Health Elective” not The application is due at least four months prior to your expected travel departure.

OGHS Pathway Award

The Global Health Pathway Award, funded by the Office of Global Health and Societies (OGHS) is intended to help cover costs associated with global health electives. Monies in the fund are to be used to assist TTUHSC El Paso students who participate in global health programs that are part of their degree program. This award is based on available funding, which varies by year.
