Vice President for Finance and Administration
Sue Fuciarelli earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) (double major in accounting and marketing) from the University of Central Florida, and her Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in management from the University of South Florida.
She has extensive experience in the health care industry, having worked with global Fortune 500 and 1000 corporations. Early in her career, she was an external auditor for major health care organizations. She later served as a key member on a team that established a new $100M division — ultimately becoming the division with the highest profit margins in the corporation.
In higher education, she has held Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA) positions at three universities: Charleston Southern University, an entrepreneurial private university, and two public universities, The Citadel (ranked the top public university in the South) and Valdosta State University (a comprehensive university under the University System of Georgia).
She joined TTUHSC El Paso as VPFA/Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in October 2015, and also holds the title of Associate Dean for Finance and Administration in the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine. Her duties include oversight of budget/financial operations, human resources, and the Medical Practice Income Plan (provider billings). Her leadership style is focused on collaboration and teamwork; best practices and technologies to gain efficiencies; and innovative approaches to addressing problems and moving ideas forward.
