Content Standards

All educational activities developed through the Office of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) must meet established standards for quality, independence, and integrity in continuing education.

Evidence-Based Content

Educational content must be current, evidence-based, and relevant to clinical practice.
Information presented should reflect generally accepted standards of care, supported by scientific evidence and/or best practices.

Content Integrity

Educational activities must:

• Be designed to improve competence, performance, and/or patient outcomes
• Reflect fair, balanced, and scientifically rigorous information
• Support safe, effective, and patient-centered care

Independence and Commercial Bias

All activities must be independent of ineligible companies and free from commercial bias.
Content must not promote specific products or services.

• Financial relationships must be disclosed
• Conflicts of interest must be identified and mitigated prior to the activity
• All recommendations must be based on evidence, not commercial influence 

Qualified Faculty and Planners

Individuals involved in planning and delivering content must have appropriate expertise and credentials relevant to the topic.

Faculty and planners are expected to:

• Present content within their scope of practice and expertise
• Use evidence-based sources
• Provide balanced and objective information
