Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)

The Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) at Texas Tech Health El Paso is responsible for reviewing research involving recombinant DNA, infectious agents, and other biohazardous materials. The IBC ensures compliance with NIH Guidelines and promotes safety in research.

The current IBC term is from September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2025. The committee includes faculty with scientific expertise, safety specialists, and community representatives.
