Versatility.
Why did you choose El Paso to train for residency?
Financially cheaper than my hometown but still close enough to visit family often.

Sports medicine and the musculoskeletal system.

Random fact about yourself:
Spontaneous; I talk too fast when I am super excited. I stutter when I am angry/ annoyed. I rarely give promises. I love silence. If you want to see my crazy side, offer me a Fanta. I hate all those ceremonies, parties unless you do it for yourself and not to show-off or to please others. I have no idea what alcohol tastes like.

Anything and everything outdoors. My favorite things are skiing and scuba diving.
What led you to choose Family Medicine as a specialty?
The people - I wanted and chose a field where my patients and I run parallel versus other specialties where the physicians and patients intersect briefly move on.
Why did you choose El Paso to train for residency?
Border medicine is really unique and, for me, having the opportunity to train in an area where healthcare is hard to come by was really a chance to learn more and do more for my patients.

Due to my special interest in the US border health/Immigrant health.
