As the only health sciences center on the U.S.-Mexico border, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso is uniquely positioned to change the face of health care in a region that has been historically underserved and understudied.

With roots reaching back to 1973 as a regional campus of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine has evolved into a four-year medical school at TTUHSC El Paso, offering a unique immersive curriculum.

It’s been 10 years since the inaugural class began its journey at the PLFSOM! In the last decade, the PLFSOM has made great strides to address the shortage of health care providers in our region.

The school has launched a campaign to celebrate not only its own accomplishments, but those of all university alumni. We would like to celebrate your successes and share where you are today.

We would love to compile and share a story or update from each of our alumni.

Examples of what you can send are: photos; favorite memories; tips on getting through school, residency or fellowship; your favorite part about being a health care provider; and what you’re doing now. You can also send us a short video update, recorded with your phone.

If it’s easier, you can talk to someone from the Office of Institutional Advancement—they have writers on staff who can craft an article about you.

Or send any additional materials, or questions, to news.ep@ttuhsc.edu

Make sure to connect with us on social media for 10th anniversary updates!
