Community Partners

The Student Counseling Services partners with off-campus community providers to offer additional counseling options for Texas Tech Health El Paso students, including access to flexible appointment times outside of regular business hours.

How to Access Community Partner Services

Beginning September 1, 2026, students must obtain an External Counseling Referral from Student Counseling Services before beginning services with a community partner.

To request and use community partner counseling services:

  1. Request a referral: Complete the External Counseling Referral Request Form and select your preferred community provider.
  2. Receive your referral: Student Counseling Services will process your request and send your completed referral to your TTUHSC email within **one business day**.
  3. Schedule your appointment: Once you receive your referral, contact your selected community provider directly to schedule your initial appointment.
  4. Bring your referral and student ID: Please present your referral along with your current TTUHSC El Paso student ID at your initial appointment.
