Advancing Innovation, Supporting Excellence
The Office of Research oversees research administration at Texas Tech Health El Paso — including research infrastructure, budgets, compliance, and training — and houses Sponsored Programs and the university’s research oversight committees. We support faculty, students, and staff throughout the research lifecycle, from identifying funding opportunities and preparing proposals to managing awards and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The Sponsored Programs (SP) Office provides essential grant support services, including:
- Funding opportunity identification and proposal development
- Budget preparation and application submission
- Institutional approvals and regulatory compliance
- Award negotiation, acceptance, and post-award administration
- Guidance, training, and resources to support successful research funding and project management
