Prerequisite Courses for the B.S.N. Program
To earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) from TTUHSC El Paso, students must complete the prerequisite courses listed below. Additionally, students must satisfy the TTUHSC Core Curriculum (CC) requirements.

+ Statistics is a required nursing prerequisite. Students who take a math-based statistics course will fulfill both the nursing and core curriculum requirements. Those who take a non-math-based statistics course must complete an additional upper-level mathematics course to satisfy the core requirement.
Transfer Credit Policy
- Courses from accredited institutions with equivalent content are eligible for transfer credit, provided a grade of "C" or better was earned.
- Pass/Fail courses are not accepted for transfer.
- A maximum of 15 credits each is allowed for CLEP or correspondence courses.
- If any prerequisites have been or will be CLEPPED, they will not be included in the GPA calculation. CLEP credit must appear on an official college transcript to be accepted.
