Admission Requirements
At TTUHSC El Paso, we review each applicant holistically — no single factor determines admission. Academic performance, including GPA, science course grades, and repeated coursework, plays a key role in the evaluation process.
General Admission Criteria
- Minimum GPA: 2.5 (calculated from both prerequisite and nursing coursework) from a regionally accredited institution.
- Prerequisite Coursework: Must be completed with a grade of “C” or better before the first day of enrollment.
- Criminal Background Check: Required for all admitted students. A history of criminal conduct may result in withdrawal of admission. See the School of Nursing Student Handbook for details.
