To qualify for admission, students must complete the required prerequisite courses listed below. Additionally, those pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech Health El Paso must meet the TTUHSC Core Curriculum (CC) requirements. Learn more about TTUHSC Core Curriculum.

** Pathophysiology is available as an online course.
+ Statistics is required as a nursing prerequisite. If a student takes math statistics, they fulfill both the nursing prerequisite and core curriculum requirements. If a student takes another type of statistics course, they must complete an additional upper-level math course to satisfy the core curriculum requirement.
Transfer Credit Information
- Courses taken at other institutions with equivalent content may be eligible for transfer credit if a grade of C or better was earned.
- Pass/Fail courses are not accepted for transfer.
- The maximum credit allowed for credit by examination is 15 credit hours.
- For details on institutional credit transfer policies, refer to HSCEP OP 77.17.
CLEP Credit: If any prerequisite courses are completed via CLEP (College Level Examination Program), they will not be calculated into the Texas Tech Health El Paso GPA. However, CLEP credit must appear on an official college transcript to be accepted.
