Our Mission

The mission of our program is to improve the lives of people in our region by focusing on the unique health care needs of socially and culturally diverse border populations through excellence in integrated education, research and patient care. We cultivate residents who are culturally aware and advocate for their patients. We achieve this by serving a culturally and economically diverse patient population that spans two countries. This allows our residents to see a wide variety of diseases including those unique to our border region.
