Application Process

How to Apply

We accept applications exclusively through ResidencyCAS. All applications must be complete and submitted by Sept. 25. Early submission is strongly recommended to ensure timely review.

 

Program Details

  • Positions Available: Five positions at the first-year level are offered to graduates of accredited medical schools.
  • Application Review: The program director and associate program director carefully screen all applications.
  • Interview Process: Selected candidates will be invited for interviews held between November and January. Residents and faculty actively participate in interviews and the ranking process, with final rankings submitted to the NRMP.

 

Application Requirements

To be considered for the program, applicants must submit a complete application package through ResidencyCAS, which includes:

  1. ResidencyCAS Application
  2. Medical School Transcript
  3. Three Letters of Recommendation
  4. Additional Letter for Previous Residency Training (if applicable)
    • Program director letter of recommendation.
  5. USMLE/COMLEX Transcript
    • Must show passing scores for Step 1 and Step 2 on the first attempt.
    • CSA/Level 2 PE passage required.
    • COMLEX may substitute for USMLE.
  6. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    • Must be current and organized in chronological order.
  7. Personal Statement
  8. Medical School Diploma
    • If attended multiple schools, provide diplomas from all institutions.
    • International medical graduates (IMGs): Diplomas must be professionally translated and notarized.
  9. Citizenship Requirement
    • All applicants must be U.S. citizens to participate in mandatory rotations at William Beaumont Army Medical Center.
