Accessing YuJa Panorama in Canvas
- To enable YuJa Panorama in Canvas, faculty can follow these steps:

- Go to Settings in your course menu and select the Navigation tab.
- Find Accessibility Tool (YuJa), click the three-dot menu, and select Enable.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Save.
- Once enabled, the tool will appear in your course menu. From there, you can generate comprehensive accessibility reports, identify content barriers, and remediate materials like syllabi, readings, and assignments.

- Staff without Canvas access can log in to YuJa Panorama directly.

YuJa Panorama is an LMS integration that automatically scans course files (PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoints, images) to check for digital accessibility. It provides instructors with actionable tools to fix accessibility issues and gives students instant access to flexible alternative formats (such as audio podcasts, eBraille, or high-contrast HTML).
If you don't see YuJa Panorama in your course navigation, you must add it manually.
1) Go to Course Settings.
2) Select Navigation tab.
3) Locate Accessibility Tool (YuJa) in the hidden items list at the bottom, then drag it to the top enabled top.
4) Click Save at the bottom of the page.
A 100% score in YuJa Panorama is a great benchmark, but ADA Title II compliance is legally tied to meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards, not software scores.
Because automated tools are never 100% accurate and can miss contextual issues like reading order or alt text accuracy, a human check is always necessary. Use YuJa Panorama alongside other tools like Adobe Acrobat as overlapping layers, but rely on manual review to ensure full compliance.
