Texas Tech Health El Paso Expands Healthcare Access with Grant from the Underserved Communities Foundation

A $10,000 grant from the Underserved Communities Foundation (UCF) supports Texas Tech Health El Paso’s
Promotores de Salud program in delivering health education on chronic disease management, oral health, and mental well-being. Led by Dr. Alyssa C. Benavides, the program also enhances digital literacy and dispels health myths, empowering underserved Borderplex residents and strengthening community connections.

HERE Magazine
Like Texas Tech Health El Paso itself, HERE Magazine captures the vibrant spirit of El Paso, a West Texas city that shares a border with Mexico. Within the pages of every edition, you’ll meet members of the Texas Tech Health El Paso family whose work gives true meaning to our university’s mission. Together, their stories contribute to the bigger picture of why we’re here: To provide community-focused, high-quality care to the Borderland region and beyond.
