Breastfeeding Resources

Texas Tech Health El Paso is committed to supporting student parents and their families. As part of our dedication to student well-being, we encourage breastfeeding as a healthy choice for both mother and child.

Breastfeeding Resources at Texas Tech Health El Paso

  • Lactation Stations: These private spaces are equipped with a comfortable chair, reading materials, a refrigerator, and other necessary amenities.
  • Flexible Scheduling: We understand that balancing breastfeeding and academic responsibilities can be challenging. We encourage students to discuss flexible scheduling options with their instructors or advisors to accommodate their breastfeeding needs.

How to Access the Lactation Station

To use the lactation station, please contact the lactation station coordinator at 915-215-4201 as soon as possible during your pregnancy. This will help us ensure availability and plan accordingly.

We believe that providing these resources will help support our student parents and create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment.
