Psychology Post-Doctoral Fellowship
Program Overview
The Texas Tech Health El Paso Psychology Post-Doctoral Fellowship is a one-year, full-time program designed to prepare fellows for advanced clinical practice. Fellows will have the opportunity to:
- Deliver Outpatient Services:
- Individual, dyadic, and group therapies
- Psychological assessment and testing
- Psychoeducation and outreach
- Consultation for diverse populations
- Bilingual Opportunities: Provide clinical services in Spanish, as available.
- Collaborate and Lead: Participate in supervision of psychology interns, departmental trainings, teaching,
and research projects.
Professional Development Opportunities
Throughout the fellowship year, fellows will engage in a wide range of learning experiences, including:
- Multidisciplinary didactics
- Journal club meetings
- Grand rounds
- Seminars, webinars, and workshops hosted at the academic medical center
Admissions Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background:
- A doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).
- Internship Experience:
- Completion of a one-year pre-doctoral internship accredited by the APA or its substantial equivalent.
