Psychology Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Program Overview

The Texas Tech Health El Paso Psychology Post-Doctoral Fellowship is a one-year, full-time program designed to prepare fellows for advanced clinical practice. Fellows will have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver Outpatient Services:
    • Individual, dyadic, and group therapies
    • Psychological assessment and testing
    • Psychoeducation and outreach
    • Consultation for diverse populations
  • Bilingual Opportunities: Provide clinical services in Spanish, as available.
  • Collaborate and Lead: Participate in supervision of psychology interns, departmental trainings, teaching, and research projects.

Throughout the fellowship year, fellows will engage in a wide range of learning experiences, including:

  • Multidisciplinary didactics
  • Journal club meetings
  • Grand rounds
  • Seminars, webinars, and workshops hosted at the academic medical center

Admissions Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Educational Background:
    • A doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).
  2. Internship Experience:
    • Completion of a one-year pre-doctoral internship accredited by the APA or its substantial equivalent.
