Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship
The Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship prepares psychiatrists for work at the intersection of mental health and the law through supervised forensic evaluations, correctional psychiatry, multidisciplinary collaboration and statewide didactics.
About the Fellowship
Based in El Paso, Texas, the fellowship provides experience serving a diverse border community, including opportunities involving juvenile populations. Fellows work with the state hospital, the local mental health authority, correctional facilities and government agencies while balancing clinical care, forensic evaluations, teaching and research.
Fellows also participate in expert-led didactics through the Texas Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Collaborative. Training sites are located within approximately 25 minutes of the program office.
