The Puentes Title V grant supported the creation and expansion of resources aimed at improving student success, career readiness, faculty development, and community outreach. These platforms and programs continue to serve the Texas Tech Health El Paso community.

EnfRNte

EnfRNte is a dynamic digital outreach platform designed to inform and inspire future nursing professionals—from middle school to college. The name EnfRNte (a stylized take on the Spanish word enfrente, meaning “to step forward”) centers the “RN” to reflect its nursing focus.

  • Targeted at future and current students exploring nursing pathways
  • Offers videos, interactive career maps, student testimonials, and application tips
  • Mobile-friendly and bilingual content

Desert Mountain Area Health Education Center (AHEC)

The AHEC program expands healthcare awareness, academic preparation, and community engagement across the El Paso region.

AHEC resources include:

  • Outreach events with middle schools, high schools, and community colleges
  • Health career exploration and advising
  • Pipeline programming for future healthcare professionals
